St. Valentine’s Day ()
A famous festival the world over. We all know today that it is the festival of love, the day on which you declare yourself to the one you love. It falls on the 14th of February.
There are varying opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day. Some experts state that it originated from , a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14,269 .

Before dying he wrote a letter to a blind girl, expressing his love to her. On the day he was executes, the blind girl planted an almind tree(开红花的杏树) in front of his tomb to give expression to her missing. And this day is Valentine's Day,Februray 14th.
