表示某一特定的人、月份、周、节日、地名、团体、机构、组织等。
ex. Beckham, Obama, Bush…
January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December
Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Christmas, Halloween, Easter
China, the United Nations
专有名词
专有名词前面一般不加冠词,但是由普通名词构成的词组或者江河海洋,山脉群岛地理名称前要用定冠词the。
ex. the United Kingdom, the United Nation, the Huang River, the Tai Mount…
专有名词
专有名词表示独一无二的事物,但是不是独一无二的事物就是专有名词。
ex. the sun, the moon, the Mars…
以上均为独一无二的事物,但是不是专有名词。
专有名词
首字母要大写,如果不大写,某些词的意思会发生改变。
ex. Rose: (人名)罗斯
rose:玫瑰
China:中国
china:瓷器
普通名词
表示一类人、事物或者抽象概念的名称。
普通名词前面可以加冠词,也可以不加。
普通名词分为个体名词、集体名词、物质名词和抽象名词。
普通名词
ex. 个体名词:guitar, taxi, computer, house, room, apple, bus, picture…
集体名词:family, police, people, class, group…
物质名词:water, wind, air, milk, fire, …
抽象名词:love, life, honest, health, friendship, interest…
可数名词
普通名词中的个体名词和集体名词是可数名词。
可数名词有单数和复数两种形式。
可数名词单数形式与不定冠词a/ an 连用,表示“一”。
ex. a boy, a dog, a desk, a television, an apple, an orange, an egg, an umbrella
