The new E-class from Mercedes-Benz wins the highest accolade in innovative car body engineering – the EuroCarBody Award
On the occasion of the 11th international car body benchmark conference EuroCarBody, 20 – 22 October 2009 in Bad Nauheim/Germany, a total of 9 new series car bodies from Europe and Asia were benchmarked by roughly 400 international automotive experts of car body development, process planning and manufacturing.
Each car body was scrutinized according to 23 benchmarking criteria, comprehensively presented and discussed by the forum of international conference participants.

First place at the EuroCarBody Award 2009 goes to the new E-class from Mercedes-Benz
This year, receiving of max. 50 points, the highest vote of all benchmarked contestants, the new e-class from Mercedes-Benz won 1st place and was awarded the worldwide most prestigious prize for innovative car body engineering, the EuroCarBody Award.
