Abstract
Bei Qiong, a deciple of Yang Weizhen, was a literati lived in the period of late Yuan and early Ming dynasty. Current studies on Bei Qiong are deficient both on the studies of basic documentation and the literary creation. There are a lot more to reasearch particularly on anthology arrangement and biography of him. This paper relates to the collation of Bei Qiong’s poems and es the textual research on he himself and his collected works as well as the creation background, contents and features of his poems.
This paper includes two parts. The first part expounds Bei Qiong’s collected poems. Chapter I concerns the textual research on the clan and lifetime of Bei Qiong and the editions of his works according to correlative historical materials. Chapter II is about Bei Qiong’s poems’ contents and features that based on the social background and his social contact with his teachers and friends during that period. The second part refers to the collation and annotation of Bei Qiong’s poems. This part, being based on The Collected Poems of Qingjiang Beixiansheng that photocopied the edition of Hongwu in the Si Bu Cong Kan, collates and annotates Bei Qiong’s poems with The Collected Poems of Qingjiang Beixiansheng which was published by Yanyi Hall of Tongxiang Jin Tan’s Wenrui Building in Kangxi and The Collected Poems of Qingjiang in Si Ku Quan Shu of Wenyuan Pavilion.
