In my opinion, perseverance and honesty are the most essential personalities that a true friend should and must cherish, for several reasons.
For one thing, perseverance always helps when we are in troubles. Let’s take my uncle who is a graduate in MIT for example: he picked up his English in his late an oversea one year master chance was presented in front of him. And, for 40s night, he stayed up still 200AM studying, eventually achieved his scholarship.
Nevertheless, honesty, I believe, as well decides a person’s future. Saying has it, honesty is always the best policy, if one lies to everyone else, how, if it possible, could he be given any trust and work in a team (as a leader)?

I respect and admire my mother more than anyone else in this world, as far as I am concerned. First and foremost, she treats me with extraordinary patience and an open mind forever. When I was little and naughty, it often took my mom many efforts to teach me about good and bad. Sometimes I got very radical, but she was patient enough to bring me back to the track. In addition, she was always supportive when I raised a reasonable request, since he also trusted me to make my own decision, like how to spend my pocket money or which study group to join whenever I am in troubles.
