摘要
在长、中波波段,由于波长较长,天线架设的电高度h/λ受限,,天线的辐射能力很弱。此外,在此波段,主要采用地波传播方式,当波沿地表面传播时,水平极化波的衰减很大,要求天线辐射垂直极化波。鉴于以上因素,在长、中波段主要使用垂直于地面架设的天线,这种天线还广泛应用于短波和超短波波段的移动通信电台中,、卡接或拉伸等方法联接。由于此波段天线的长度并不长,外形像鞭子,故又称为鞭天线。至于在长、中波波段,天线的几何高度很高,除用高塔(木杆或金属)作为支架将天线吊起外,也可直接用铁塔作为辐射体,称为铁塔天线或桅杆天线。
