Abstract :The configura tion p rinciple of Xilinx Virtex TM FP GA is discusse d. Dynamic partial reco nfigura2
tion of F P GA is based on module design methodology. This paper also p rovides a way that design a dynam2
ically reconfigurable system based on Virtex F P GA. CPU a nd CPLD are used to configure and reconfigure
this F P GA which selects a SelectMA P configuration mode . The system can be configured fa st and recon2
figured partially. The paper also provides the program f low of the sof tware to implement the configuration
process. Finally ,the amount of F P GA reconfiguration time is calculated.
