Abstract: Analytic geometry is a branch of mathematics, and is a kind of important mathematics method too. This paper introduces the background of analytic geometry and established, the establishment of analytic geometry mainly is to Fermat coordinate geometry and Descartes the geometry as the most representative. And by the way, for example briefly analytic geometry thought. Along with the development of analytic geometry and many of its idea became known to the world accepted and adopted, one of the most basic thoughts is the few lines combining idea. In the continuous learning and perfect the process of analytic geometry, people put it into two classes, they are plane analytic geometry and space analytic geometry, and it has been widely used and in production and life. This paper describes the application of this analytic geometry mainly through two examples. In the learning process of middle school analytic geometry, getting a lot of the enlightenment. Analytic geometry is not the core of the research object, but method.
