现在进行时是由be(am/is/are)+动词-ing形式构成的。Be 随人称的变化而变化。

Be 动词用法口诀：
I用am, you 用are,
is 用于它,他,她
单数is 复数are

动词分词(V-ing)的构成
如：
read---reading, drink---drinking
eat---eating,
，去掉e再加ing 如：
write---writing, make---making,ride---riding,
+元音字母+辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节结尾的动词，双写末尾的辅音字母再加ing 如：
sit----sitting, swim---swimming,put---putting,
注：die的-ing形式为dying，lie的-ing形式为lying，
picnic的-ing形式为picnicking
