答:对第一个问题呢,我觉得比较有发展前景的服务业,我们正在算,我们感觉到我们原来有四个指标,就是人口的密度,人口的规模,收入的水平,城市化的程度,我们算出来以后呢觉得往后推还不够,我们还在继续地设定一些指标。因为要算一个比较具体的预测出来。但是无论怎么样选指标,深圳肯定在最前边最靠前的方阵里边,我想这个是没有问题的。
第二个给点门道,我觉得我到深圳来我们做服务业研究没有多长时间,我对深圳的经济很长时间已经没有做过研究了。毛主席讲:下马观花,我连下马观花都做不到,我觉得我很缺少研究。我不愿意在这随便说那么几条也没有什么信息量的内容。我们将来会跟WTO中心合作,比较深入做一点研究,用我们研究过的内容再来跟大家做交流,好不好?谢谢。

It is an enormous pleasure for me to be here this morning. It is my first visit to Guangzhou and it certainly won’t be my last. What is already very clear to me from my brief discussions I’ve had with colleagues this morning is that there is such a pace of growth here in Guangzhou and in the wide of the province and such enormous business and export opportunities that we must ensure that the city and the region es much better-known in Britain than it is at the moment.
