曹禺话剧语言有其独特的艺术魅力。他的话剧《雷雨》的语言具有个性鲜明的性格 化，高度的精练美，强烈的富有感染力的动作性，耐人寻味的含蓄美，立体生动的舞台感，充满诗意的特征等特点。也正是上述这些语言艺术特点，使得《雷雨》这部话剧在中国近现代史上树立了一座不朽的艺术丰碑，永照后人。
