主要业务和服务范围
组织实施全市动物疫病预防与控制，特别是对重大动物疫病和人兽共患病的预防制和应急反应行动；
承担全市动物疫病，特别是重大动物疫病、新发病和突发疫情的快速诊断与鉴定；指导、协调县动物防疫监督机构的业务工作，对上报的诊断结果结合有关疫情资料进行综合分析，做出疫情确认并上报；
负责全市动物疫情检测和流行病学调查，全市动物疫情信息网络的管理，区内外动物疫情的收集、汇总、分析、报告以及预警、预报；
指导、检查全市动物防检疫工作；
开展动物源性食品安全监控工作；
开展兽医公共卫生事件的调查处理及应急反应，配合卫生部门做好相关工作；
从事动物疫病诊断、检测、防治新技术的推广；
参与制定全市动物防疫的政策措施、防治规划、应急预案等；
开展对县级动物防疫监督机构的业务指导以及实验室的质量管理和评价；
开展对相关工作人员以及执业兽医等各类从业人员的培训；
开展地市级的技术交流与合作；
承担宁夏兽医行政主管机关和自治区动物疾病预防控制中心交办的其它工作任务。
