Abstract
:The surface morphology and physical properties of three types of ultrafine magnesium hydroxide (MH) were tested by
SEM ,laser particle size and specific surface area analyzer.MH was added to the magnesium hydroxide film to study the effects of
MH fineness on the flame retardant property,smoke suppression and mechanical property of PVC films.The results show that with
the decrease of MH fineness, the oxygen index increases, and the flame retardant performance can meet the requirement.
Meanwhile,as the maximum smoke release and smoke release grade decreased obviously,the smoke suppression effect was better.
The final result shows that GY - 6000 had the best flame retardant property and the fineness has little effect on mechanical
property.
