世界肾脏日
国际肾脏病学会和国际肾脏基金联合会

二十一世纪以来，慢性肾脏病已成为危害世界人民健康的公敌之一。国际肾脏病学会和国际肾脏基金联合会提出，每年3月第二个星期四为“世界肾脏日”。第一个世界肾脏日—2006年3月9日，主题是：“慢性肾脏病”，中华肾脏病学会提出宣传口号：“关爱健康，呵护肾脏——及早诊断，积极预防”。2007年世界肾脏日为2007年3月8日，是第二个世界肾脏日，主题是“了解您的肾脏”，口号是“您的肾脏健康吗？”
   国际肾脏病学会和国际肾脏基金联合会联合共同倡导设立世界肾脏日，其目的在于：，.。
   世界肾脏日的焦点是让全科医生和肾脏健康的专业护理人员更加清醒的认识到肾脏作用：作为相关慢性病（如糖尿病和心血管病）的危险性标志，早期检测任何形式的肾脏损害是现在需要急切解决的问题。

人一生中有三分之一的时间是在睡眠中度过，五天不睡眠人就会死去，可见睡眠是人的生理需要。睡眠作为生命所必须的过程，是机体复原、整合和巩固记忆的重要环节，是健康不可缺少的组成部分。据世界卫生组织调查，27%的人有睡眠问题。国际精神卫生组织主办的全球睡眠和健康计划于2001年发起了一项全球性的活动，将每年的3月21日，即春季的第一天定为“世界睡眠日”。
