Preface
As an important transport process, heat conduction is governed by the first law of
thermodynamics, or the conservation of energy. The heat-conduction equation is its
mathematical representation for heat conduction processes. However, we can have
different types of heat-conduction equations depending on which constitutive re-
lations of heat flux density, the relations between the heat flux density vector and
