This dissertation states the speaking in appropriate during munication in English. In English teaching there exists inappropriateness in using English for the students, and lists mon problems with the appropriateness of oral English, there are many factors affecting the inappropriateness, the factor of cultural background which restricts appropriateness is the main point, then analyses the causes of the problems with the appropriateness. Finally, the paper states how to use English appropriately in munication with better results. Developing munication ability is an indispensable part of English teaching. The teacher should consciously introduce Western culture in teaching process and guide the students to actively learn culture.
