Using PLC technology can greatly enhance the machine ’s overall performance. In this paper, SIMATIC S7-200 mini PLC system was used to design the Plastic injection molding machine ’s control unit: including the hardware wiring and the I/O allocation. The STEP7-Micro/WIN 32 software is used as programming platform; it is very flexible, user-friendly and convenient debugging.
