Hutchison munications Hong Kong (HKG:0215) announced that %-owned subsidiary, Hutchison pany Limited (HTCL), hasentered into a framework agreement with Nokia works Oy (NSN)for the purchase of equipment and services from NSN in connection withthe modernisation and expansion of the work owned by HTCL,including HTCL's minimum mitment of $ million to befulfilled within the initial twenty-four months of its five-year term.
With widespread data and mobile activities, the transactionenables HTCL to modernise and expand its existing work with thelatest HSPA+ technology available in the market. Completion of themodernisation and expansion works under the framework agreement willenhance and upgrade the group's work performance includingincreasing the group'work transmission speed of up to 42Mbpsdownlink and 11Mbps uplink.
