In the process of manufacturing Printed Circuit Board (PCB), every board has to be drilled based holes firstly. So the precision of based holes greatly influence the quality of PCB. Traditionally, PCB is loacated with the help of man’s eyes, which inevitably influences the precition of location and the efficiency. Combination of optical technology and NC technology is currently a good way to solve this problem. This paper presents the R&D of the PCB auto locate drill based optical scanning.
