Abstract: Nantong Indigo-Blue Printed Fabric is in the list of nonmaterial cultural heritage of China. The ar-
ticle expatiates its history of development from the aspect of geological environment, humanity resources, folk
custom as well as technique development, analyzes the reasons for its falling and points out the present dilem-
ma. Some necessary measures and improvement recommendations are presented to protect this state-level pro-
ject of nonmaterial cultural heritage.
