1. Project
在国际承包业务中，由承包商承建的一个工程（在中文里也称为一个项目）叫做project。

条款解读：
The Borrower named in the Bidding Data has applied for or received a loan or credit (hereinafter called“loan”) from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development or from the International Development Association (hereinafter interchangeably called “the Bank”) in various currencies equivalent to the amount in . dollars indicated in the Bidding Data towards the cost of the Project specified in the Bidding Data, and the Borrower intends to apply a part of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract for which these bidding documents are issued.
招标资料表中指明借款人已经向国际复兴开发银行或国际开发协会（统称为“世行”）申请/得到了一笔等值于招标资料表所述美元金额的贷款或信贷（下称“贷款”）用以支付招标资料表中规定的工程的费用，借款人拟将此贷款的部分资金用于本招标合同项下的合理支付。

六、“工程”术语与条款
2. Works
每个Project 必然要按照工作性质划分为若干专业工程(或称工序)，在英语里叫Work，例如：土方工程（Earth work），混凝土工程（Concrete work），和路面工程（Pavement work）等，不能将Project与Works混淆。另外，Engineering 含有工程、工程设计的意思，在具体的施工建设中，不要到处用这个词。

条款解读：
The Employer shall have obtained (or shall obtain) the planning, zoning or similar permission for the Permanent Works, and any other permissions described in the Specification as having been (or being) obtained by the Employer; and the Employer shall indemnify and hold the Contractor harmless against and from the consequences of any failure to do so.
业主应已（或将）为永久工程取得规划、区域划定、或类似的许可，以及在业主要求中所述的业主已（或将）取得的任何其他许可；业主应保障并保持使承包商免受因未能完成上述工作带来的伤害。
