”patibility (EMC):
Theory and Practice”

This course (5 p) is designed to give a basic knowledge on the theoretical and
practical aspects of patibility to students and researchers in an
academic or industrial setting. The course is offered jointly by the University of
Uppsala, as a course within the post graduate education in Technical Physics with
Special Attention to Electrical Discharges, and Graduate School in High Voltage
Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology.

The course is free of charge for PhD students, except for the costs associated with
modation and traveling. Industrial participants cover the administrative
expenses (10 000:- kr) plus modation and traveling.

The course will start in the first week of September 2007 with self-studies of selected
material and will finish in the middle of December 2007 with an examination. One
concentrated week (week no. 43, Oct. 22 – 26) with lectures, laboratory exercises
and demonstrations will be arranged at HVV premises in Ludvika and in Uppsala
University.
