Statement of Purpose
This project proposal aims to point out the reasons why pany has been slowed down in the development in the last three years, and how the high-level management team can solve these problems. This project starts with a detailed literature review on what researchers have found out about what kind of elements affect performance, and how these elements interact with each other. This project then analyzes pany’s current slow and non-productive performance in local and international markets, and discusses the reasons that cause these problems. Based on some informal interviews and discussions with workers, supervisors, and middle-level managers, this project also tries to make their voices heard by the executives. Their opinions of what and how pany should do to improve the performance in petitive market is greatly valued in this project. At the end of the project, I will conclude my proposal in giving some additional strategies on managing different issues in pany.
Introduction
With the rapid development of the petition, and global economics in current society, High anization (HPO) has gained both academic and public attention in recent years. HPO, which means to bring out the best in people and produce sustainable high performance results (Schermerhorn, Hunt, & Osborn, 2000). Schermerhorn and his colleagues (2000) state the five ponents in HPO: employee involvement, self-directing work teams, integrated production technologies, organizational learning, and total quality management. In fact, these ponents interact with each other in the way to turn anization into a HPO. High performance is the one of the most important aspects that managers and bosses are looking from their employees. However, it is the high level executives’ responsibility to improve employees’ job performance and even anization performance.
