A
Mary: You must be excited to be starting a new life, David.
David: Yeah, but nervous too. pletely new city is a big change in my life.
Mary: I’m sure you’ll like San Francisco. I hope you plan to keep in tough with all of us.
David: Sure. I’ll write and telephone as often as I can. I’m not planning to give you the cold shoulder after I get married. I’ll municate with all of you.
Mary: We’re counting on it.
David: Actually, I’m a little worried about making new friends in San Francisco. It’s such a big city. I might be lonely there.
Mary: No, I’m sure you won’t have any trouble meeting people and making friends. You get along with people very well. You’re a very friendly person. You shouldn’t worry so much.
David: I hope you’re right. By the way, I forget to give you my new address.
Mary: That’s right. I need to know how to get in tough with you after you move. The last thing I want is to be cut off from my best friend. I’ll need your letters and phone calls.
David: (laughing) I feel sorry for myself. Nobody else will put up with my bad jokes. You’re the only one who ever laughs at my jokes.
Mary: My jokes have always been terrible too. As joke tellers, we’re in the same boat, I’m afraid. We both tell terrible jokes.
David: Promise me that we won’t lose tough with each other in spite of the bad jokes.
Mary: I promise to write and call often. And
