当我们从初中阶段的学****跨入高中阶段的学****就英语这一门语言学科来说,同学们首先遇到的问题将是词汇量的扩大与翻番。
在我们掌握了英语的基本语音和一些语法知识后,英语能力的提高在很大程度上取决于词汇量的大小。词汇是构成语言的三要素之一,它与语音、语法相比,变化较快。随着社会和科学的发展,英语一方面增加了新词,一方面旧词有增添了新的意义。同时,多义词的内涵越来越丰富。因此,词汇学****成了英语学****的当务之急。没有词汇就没有词组,没有词组就没有句子,没有句子我们就无法进行交际;没有句子也就没有文章,因而词汇的作用就好比高楼大厦的建起没有砖块不行。,学英语就等于是一句空话。一定的词汇量有助于我们对文章进行正确的分析与判断。也可以说词汇量的大小是英语能力提高的根本;词汇学****是英语学****的根本。
