    证明力，也称证据价值、证据力，它指的是证据对于案件事实有无证明作用及证明作用的大小。
要明确证明力概念，必须分清形式证明力和实质证明力。这里以书证为例说明形式证明力和实质证明力的关系。书证要具有证明力，必须满足两个条件：一是书证本身是真实的，为当事人主张的文书的制作者所作的，而不是伪造的；二是书证表达的内容是书证制作者的真实意思表示，书证所记载的内容真实可靠，与待证事实有关联性，能够证明待证事实。前一个条件得到满足，该书证就具有形式上的证明力；后一个条件得到满足，该书证就具有实质上的证明力。
    形式证明力是实质证明力的前提，有形式证明力，才可能有实质证明力，无形式证明力就不可能有实质证明力。但有形式证明力，不一定有实质证明力。书证记载的内容不真实或是与待证事实无关联时，就不具有实质证明力。作为法院认定待证事实根据的书证，必须既有形式证明力又有实质证明力。从证明的过程看，形式证明力问题先于实质证明力而发生，因此书证有无形式证明力是诉讼中首先需要解决的问题。为了简化对书
