conditions, for fabricating superfine powders of magnesium hydroxide, are obtained. Those are the injection method injecting ammonia into magnesium ion solution, pH= in reaction, 25% ammoniaw ater, agnesium ion concentration, - injection rate of ammonia, 60? aging temperature,
60min aging time and 10ml compound dispersant solution.
Surface modification of magnesium hydroxide by stearic acid was investigated in experiments. XRD, FT-IR, and TG-DTA were used to characterize the modified samples, and the analyzed results indicated that, its thermaldecom posing temperature were inproved after modification, stearic acid molecules occurred adsorbing bond on the surface of Mg(OH) powders. 2
