英语阅读才能的培养
阅读作为获取语言文化知识，理解外部信息,进步语言理论才能的重要手段，是中学英语教学的侧重点。教学大纲从六个方面对此作了详尽的阐述,使阅读教学的要求、任务更加详细明确。随着教学的侧重，中学生的阅读才能有了很大进步。大部分4） 议论文 说明事物的性质，说明作者的观点和看法。指导学生重点捕捉作者的观点。阅读注意力集中在首尾段,注意分清主要段落和次要段落。
2. 寻读关联词 弄清文章的语言层次
　　训练学生以关联词为路标，明晰句段之间的逻辑关系。进步阅读速度和理解力。常见的关联词可分为以下五类：
　　增补型 and， also， in addition， what’s more, for example(instance), in other words， second, besides
　　转折型 but， or, although， however, yet, otherwise, on the other hand, on the contrary, in spite of, all the same， still, in fact, as a matter of fact
　　概括型 so， thus, therefore， finally, in short, above all， as a result， in a word
　　因果型 because, so， for this reason， thus, for， as, since， therefore, as a result
　　时间型 first， second, then， next, last, finally， in the end
　　3．推断性阅读才能 在客观理解文章的根底上，通过分析和判断发现作者公开或暗示的意思,理解作者的真实思想。在分析和推断的过程中，要注意搜集,分析作者使用的材料和表达内容所使用语言的字面意义（denotation）和涵义(connotation）。
　　如：NMET 1999阅读理解E篇,作者议论对”stage school” 的看法。
